Airnee Harumi Peralta wins gold at Olympic Boxing Festival

Airnee Harumi Peralta secured a gold medal in the junior (under 17) 52kg bantamweight category at the 2026 Olympic Boxing Festival held in Oaxtepec, Morelos. Peralta, representing the Villa de Zaachila club, won the final via referee stoppage (RSC) against Karolina Padilla of Chihuahua.

Peralta’s performance included victories by RSC in both the semifinals against Karen Fernanda Márquez and the quarterfinals. This victory qualifies her for the 2027 Pan American Junior Continental Boxing Championships scheduled for March in Calgary, Canada. Her success contributed to a total of four medals for the Oaxaca delegation during the tournament.
