AIRO Group reports 76% revenue growth in Q2 2026
AIRO Group reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $43.2 million, representing a nearly 76% increase from $24.6 million in the previous year. This growth was driven by strong performance in the drone segment, which helped offset weaker results in avionics and training. The company reported an operating income of $1.7 million, a significant improvement from an operating loss of $19.7 million in the second quarter of 2025.
Gross margins improved to 64% from 61% year-over-year. While the company reported a net loss of $2 million compared to a net income of $5.9 million in the prior-year period, adjusted EBITDA rose to $6.8 million from $4.7 million.
The company’s drone backlog reached approximately $163 million as of June 30, consisting of international orders. Management expects most of this backlog to convert to revenue within the next 12 months. AIRO also noted that its RQ-35 drone has obtained Blue UAS certification, making it eligible for U.S. Department of Defense procurement. The RQ-35 platform has already been deployed in the Ukraine conflict for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions.
