Airtm enables virtual U.S. bank accounts for Venezuelan users

Airtm has officially enabled virtual United States bank accounts for its users located in Venezuela. This feature provides users with specific banking details, including a routing number and a checking account number, allowing them to receive international payments directly into their Airtm balance.

The service is designed to assist freelancers, remote professionals, and digital service providers who work for international clients or companies. Users can receive funds via the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network, as well as through Wire transfers and FedNow, depending on the platform's current conditions.

While the tool allows users to share banking information with employers or digital services to collect income, Airtm notes that these virtual accounts do not function as traditional physical checking accounts in a U.S. bank. The activation process is conducted digitally through the Airtm website or mobile application, requiring identity verification and adherence to the platform's terms of service.
