Airwallex integrates Affirm BNPL platform for global merchants

Airwallex has integrated Affirm’s buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) platform into its global checkout suite. This partnership allows international merchants using Airwallex to offer Affirm’s installment plans to American customers without requiring new code.

Merchants can enable options such as four interest-free payments or 24-month terms directly through the Airwallex dashboard. According to data from Affirm, merchants utilizing BNPL services can see average order values increase by 20-30% and reduce cart abandonment by up to 40%.

The integration leverages Airwallex’s existing regulatory footprint and single API to provide access to Affirm’s credit decisioning engine. This allows exporters in various global markets to offer US-centric payment flexibility to shoppers in the United States.
