AIS Academy launches conference to advance Thailand's AI capabilities

AIS Academy launched the AIS ACADEMY for THAIs 2026 conference in Bangkok, focused on the theme ‘MASTERING AI BEYOND BORDERS’. The event aims to transition Thailand from basic artificial intelligence access to functional national AI capability.

Kantima Lerlertyuttitham, Deputy CEO of AIS, noted that the country must move toward advanced systems like Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). The strategy involves shifting from individual AI use to organizational transformation, enhancing workforce analytical skills, and integrating fragmented initiatives into a national ecosystem.

The conference also hosted the JUMP Thailand Hackathon 2026, centered on AI for education. Team MAMO from Prince of Songkla University won first place with ‘Wathasin’, an AI speech coach.
