AISATS signs MoUs to expand freighter operations at Noida International Airport
Air India SATS Airport Services (AISATS) has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to expand freighter operations at its Multi-Modal Cargo Hub (MMCH) located at Noida International Airport. The agreements were made with SpiceXpress, the cargo division of SpiceJet, and Total Solutions, a cargo general sales and service agent.
The partnership with SpiceXpress aims to develop freighter services, including potential livestock freighter operations, while the agreement with Total Solutions focuses on expanding cargo capacity and connectivity. These collaborations seek to leverage the hub’s digital capabilities and strategic location to strengthen Noida International Airport’s role as a major air cargo gateway for northern India.
The MMCH is an integrated facility featuring a cargo terminal and a dedicated warehousing and logistics zone with an annual handling capacity of approximately 250,000 tonnes. The airport, developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, serves as an alternative to New Delhi’s existing infrastructure, supporting industrial clusters across the National Capital Region and Uttar Pradesh.
