Aisha Maina named strategic advisor for Africa‑Caribbean cooperation
The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) has appointed Aisha Maina, chief executive officer of Nigeria‑based Aquarian Consult Limited, as its strategic adviser for Africa‑Caribbean cooperation, effective 1 July 2026. The role is aimed at deepening South‑South collaboration by guiding policy frameworks and operational strategies that expand trade, investment and cultural links between the Eastern Caribbean and African nations.
Director General Dr Didacus Jules highlighted Maina’s extensive experience in governance, trade, energy, agribusiness, social impact and the creative economy, describing the appointment as a catalyst for “historic bridges” across the two regions. Maina expressed her commitment to translating this vision into tangible economic benefits for both sides.
