Aisha Retno and Mimi Fly achieve major wins at AIM25

The 25th Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM25) saw significant wins for Aisha Retno and Mimi Fly. Aisha Retno won the Best Album award for ‘[RE. HAB]’, a victory she described as a personal recovery process following professional and personal challenges, including a panic attack during a 2025 performance and a sudden concert cancellation in 2024.

Mimi Fly secured five trophies at the ceremony. Her success after 18 years in the industry has sparked discussions regarding how the music industry values artists, specifically whether recognition is based on artistic merit or purely on commercial metrics like streaming numbers and social media trends.
