Aisha Yesufu urges Nigerians to monitor INEC election collation manually
Activist and Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) chieftain Aisha Yesufu has expressed distrust in the technology utilized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In a statement shared on X, Yesufu urged Nigerian citizens to treat the electoral process as manual and analogue to ensure transparency.
Yesufu called for intense public vigilance during the counting and movement of result sheets. She advised voters to closely monitor the recording of votes at polling units and to follow the sheets through every stage of collation, including ward, local government, and state levels, until they reach the final collation centre in Abuja.
She emphasized that neither election officials nor result sheets should ever leave public sight to ensure that the final announced figures accurately reflect the votes cast by the people.
