Aishwarya Lekshmi discusses peace found after quitting social media
Indian actress Aishwarya Lekshmi has shared that stepping away from social media has resulted in greater peace and happiness. Having left digital platforms in September 2025, the actor noted that the decision allowed her to enjoy everyday experiences without the pressure of documenting them for an online audience.
Speaking on ‘The Puja Talwar Show’ while promoting her Netflix series ‘#Love’, Lekshmi explained that while the underlying issues of social media have not disappeared, she no longer feels the need to expose herself to them or allow them to influence her mental state. She acknowledged the utility of social media for creators and influencers to bypass traditional industry gatekeepers, but stated she had reached a stage where she preferred to step away.
Lekshmi, known for her work in Malayalam and Tamil cinema, is currently starring in the series ‘#Love’, directed by Balaji Mohan and co-starring Arjun Das. Her recent projects include ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ and ‘Aasha’.
