Aitana Mas announces candidacy for Crevillent mayoralty

Aitana Mas, the former Vice President of the Generalitat Valenciana, has announced her candidacy for the mayoralty of Crevillent representing the Compromís coalition. Mas, who previously served as a councilor in Crevillent between 2011 and 2015, stated her decision via social media, noting a desire to move away from the current political climate in regional parliaments.

This move is part of a broader reorganization within Compromís at the municipal level. Alongside Mas, former Vice President Mónica Oltra has also been named a candidate for Valencia. Both women previously held high-ranking positions within the Botànic coalition government before the 2023 elections.
