Aitana-Opentix acquires Critério Virtual to enter Portugal

The Spanish technology group Aitana-Opentix has acquired the Portuguese consultancy Critério Virtual, marking the group's entry into the Portuguese market. Based in Aveiro with a branch in Guimarães, Critério Virtual specializes in implementing and supporting enterprise management solutions, particularly within ERP environments such as Sage X3.

According to Critério Virtual's business development manager, Pedro Silva, the integration will allow the company to combine its local expertise and client proximity with a much broader technological portfolio. Daniel Segarra, CEO of Aitana-Opentix, described the move as a natural evolution of the group's presence in the Iberian Peninsula and a step in its internationalization strategy within the European Union.

The Critério Virtual brand will be maintained during the transition phase. The group plans to expand its activities in Portugal in the coming months by strengthening its team, developing new business areas, and expanding geographically, with Lisbon identified as a priority market.
