Aitoliko Lagoon Run 2026 scheduled for October 4

The Aitoliko Health Runners Club is organizing the Aitoliko Lagoon Run on Sunday, October 4, 2026. This new running event aims to highlight the unique natural landscape of the Aetolia-Acarnania region through athletics.

The competition features three categories: a 23 km race that follows the perimeter of the lagoon, a 5 km race, and a 1,000 m race for children. Both the start and finish lines will be located at the Western Beach of Aitoliko. The event is a collaborative effort involving local volunteers, businesses, and organizations to promote the area and establish a recurring sporting tradition.
