Aitolo earthquake measures up to 3.7 magnitude
A moderate earthquake occurred on Monday afternoon in the Aitolo region of Greece. The tremor, measuring between 3.6 and 3.7 on the Richter scale, was centered in the broader Aitolo-Mesolongia Lagoon area.
According to the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens Observatory, the quake struck at 13:51 with an epicenter located approximately 9 kilometers north of Aitolo and a focal depth of 19.6 kilometers. The seismic activity was felt by residents in several surrounding areas, including Agrinio and Patras, causing some local disturbance.
