Aitor Esteban criticizes PSE-EE over political tensions and Ceuta crisis

Aitor Esteban, president of the PNV, has criticized the PSE-EE for entering a “precampaign” mode following recent political tensions. Esteban suggested that the socialist party's recent criticisms of the PNV and its calls for self-criticism from the Basque government are driven by the perception of the PNV's strength ahead of upcoming elections.

Esteban also addressed the migration crisis in Ceuta, lamenting that the PSOE has “bitten the hook” regarding his previous comments about potential Moroccan involvement. He noted that while he lacks definitive proof of blackmail by Morocco, the crisis has significantly impacted the social psyche. He further remarked that the Spanish government, led by Pedro Sánchez, may have underestimated the long-term impact and importance of the Ceuta situation.
