AIUC combines agent certification with $50M insurance coverage
AI agent certification startup AIUC has introduced a business model that combines its AIUC-1 certification with insurance coverage of up to $50 million. The company aims to address security and reliability bottlenecks that currently hinder enterprise AI adoption.
The AIUC-1 standard evaluates AI agents across six key areas: data and privacy, security, safety, reliability, accountability, and social risk. Testing involves approximately 5,000 combinations of risks and attacks, including hallucinations, jailbreaks, prompt injections, and data leaks. Agents are audited independently and undergo recertification every quarter to account for evolving attack techniques.
AIUC has reportedly raised $40 million in a Series A funding round, bringing its total funding to $55 million, according to company recruitment data and media reports. The company was co-founded by Rune Kvist, formerly of Anthropic PBC, and Rajiv Dattani, formerly of McKinsey.
Several companies have already utilized the certification, including Eleven Labs Inc., which used it to secure insurance for voice agents, as well as Anysphere Inc., Harvey AI Corp., KPMG LLP, and UiPath Inc. A consortium of over 250 security and risk leaders from Fortune 1000 companies is currently working to shape the standard.
