AIVA brand may adopt CATL battery swapping solution

AIVA, a brand under Saidou Technology, is reportedly in discussions with CATL to adopt a battery swapping solution. This development comes as the company prepares for the debut of its first mass-produced model, the AIVA ME7, which is expected to be unveiled within the year with pre-orders starting early next year.

Saidou Technology, formerly known as Chongqing Land Electric Technology, has seen significant investment, including a capital increase of approximately 6.67 billion yuan. Chongqing state-owned assets serve as the largest shareholder, followed by Seres, with CATL also participating through an investment platform. The AIVA brand leverages a collaborative ecosystem: Seres provides manufacturing and supply chain support, CATL offers energy and battery solutions, and Volcengine provides AI and smart cockpit technologies.
