Aix-en-Provence Easter Festival launches 14th edition
The 14th edition of the Aix-en-Provence Easter Festival is set to take place from March 20 to April 4. The event will feature nearly one thousand artists across 19 paid concerts and approximately one hundred free performances throughout the South Region of France.
The 2027 edition will specifically honor the bicentenary of Beethoven’s death and the 90th anniversary of Philip Glass. Scheduled performances include Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony by Raphaël Pichon and Ensemble Pygmalion, and a Triple Concerto featuring Martha Argerich, Renaud Capuçon, and Gautier Capuçon under the direction of Klaus Mäkelä. The festival will also feature a complete performance of Philip Glass’s piano studies and continue the triennial residency of the Münchner Philharmoniker led by Lahav Shani.
Additionally, the festival has renewed its historical partnership with CIC for the next four years, aiming to provide long-term stability for this major European classical music event.
