Aix-en-Provence rugby match delayed by vehicle fire

A women's rugby match between France and Australia during the WXV Global Series was interrupted at halftime on Saturday in Aix-en-Provence due to a vehicle fire near the stadium.

The incident occurred at the Stade Maurice-David, where large flames and thick black smoke were visible from the stands. Witnesses reported hearing at least two explosions while the players were in the locker rooms. The fire, reportedly involving a city bus located just meters from a grandstand, caused a delay of approximately fifteen minutes.

Despite the disruption, the match resumed at 19:01. There were no reported injuries to players or spectators resulting from the fire.
