Aizkraukle line train schedules to change in October

Train schedules on the Aizkraukle line will undergo temporary changes in October due to maintenance work on several overpasses by Latvijas dzelzceļš. The disruptions are scheduled for two main periods: from October 12 to October 14, and from October 18 to October 23.

During these windows, passengers can expect various adjustments, including trains arriving earlier or later than usual, the use of diesel trains instead of electric trains for certain routes, and changes to track usage. For example, on October 12, a Riga-to-Aizkraukle service will depart 30 minutes late, while an Aizkraukle-to-Riga service will depart 13 minutes early.

Nighttime operations between October 12 and October 14 will also see changes in track direction at stations such as Ogre, Pārogrē, Ciemupē, and Ķegums. Passengers are advised to check the updated schedules via the Vivi website or mobile application before traveling.
