AJ Styles Retires from WWE and Shifts to NXT Production Role

AJ Styles informed fellow wrestler Dragon Lee privately about his decision to retire from in‑ring competition after they lost the WWE World Tag Team Championship, a plan that took effect at the Royal Rumble in January.

Following his retirement, Styles moved behind the scenes, helping produce the NXT Championship Street Fight between Tony D’Angelo and Naraku. He praised both performers but admitted his production work was limited, saying he was more focused on watching the match than directing it.
