A'ja Wilson Becomes Fastest to 6,000 Points as Las Vegas Aces Defeat Seattle Storm

A'ja Wilson recorded 34 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists and three blocks as the Las Vegas Aces beat the Seattle Storm 101‑91. In doing so, Wilson reached 6,000 career points in just 278 games, becoming the fastest and youngest player in WNBA history to hit the mark, surpassing Diana Taurasi’s prior record of 291 games. The milestone made Wilson the 19th player ever to score 6,000 points and reinforced her MVP‑caliber season, where she averages a league‑leading 25.9 points per game.

The Aces’ victory was helped by teammate Jackie Young’s 29 points and a strong second‑quarter run. Seattle’s top scorer was Dominique Malonga with 19 points. Wilson reflected on the achievement, emphasizing the need to "show up every day" even when not feeling great, and thanked her teammates and faith for the support.
