Ajara Nchout Njoya begins training with Lekié FC

Cameroonian football legend Ajara Nchout Njoya has officially begun training with Lekié FC. The former Indomitable Lionesses captain returns to the domestic scene after more than a decade playing professionally in countries including Russia, the United States, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Italy, and Saudi Arabia.

Nchout Njoya described her move to Lekié FC as a ‘choice of heart,’ noting that she wished to contribute to the development of the Cameroon Guinness Super League. She expressed satisfaction with the warm welcome from her new teammates and noted her familiarity with the training facilities.

Lekié FC head coach Stéphane Ndzana stated he is counting on Nchout Njoya’s extensive experience, which includes competing in two FIFA Women’s World Cups and four Africa Women’s Cup of Nations tournaments, to help the club prepare for the 2026/2027 season.
