Ajax and FC Barcelona to host legends charity match

AFC Ajax and FC Barcelona will face each other in a legends charity match on November 15 at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam. To promote the event, Ajax released a video highlighting the deep historical and philosophical connection between the two clubs, centered on the legacy of Johan Cruyff.

The video features a discussion between fans speaking Catalan and Dutch, debating which legendary players belong to which club. Figures such as Ronald Koeman, Edgar Davids, Luis Suárez, and Zlatan Ibrahimović are mentioned. The segment concludes with Frank Rijkaard using a coin to symbolize the shared heritage of these players, noting that the legacy of Johan Cruyff transcends a single club.

Proceeds from the match will benefit the FC Barcelona Foundation and the Johan Cruyff Foundation, both of which support sports projects for vulnerable children and youth. The Barça Legends team will be coached by Albert Ferrer, with confirmed participants including Patrick Kluivert, Bojan Krkic, and the De Boer brothers.
