Al-Ittihad targets Chamseddine Talbi after Hadj Moussa deal stalls
Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad has been active in the transfer market, targeting several players following failed negotiations. The club submitted an enhanced offer of €37.5 million to Feyenoord for Algerian winger Anis Hadj Moussa, surpassing the Dutch club's previous record sale. Despite the high bid and the player's reported desire to move, Feyenoord technical director Devy Rigaux has expressed a commitment to retaining the talent.
Following the difficulties with the Hadj Moussa deal, Al-Ittihad has turned its attention to Sunderland winger Chamseddine Talbi. Negotiations are reportedly underway with the English club for the 21-year-old Moroccan international. While Sunderland appears open to a sale, competition for Talbi is expected from Turkish sides Galatasaray and Besiktas. The move remains a possibility as the Saudi transfer window remains open even after the closure of major European markets.
