Tolu Arokodare scores 100th career goal in Ajax victory

Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare reached a career milestone by scoring his 100th senior goal during Ajax’s 2-0 UEFA Conference League win against Atalanta. Arokodare, currently on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, entered the match in the 66th minute and scored in the 87th minute to secure the victory.

The striker’s century of goals includes tallys from Valmiera, Amiens, Genk, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Ajax, and the Nigerian national team. Following the match, Arokodare expressed gratitude on social media for his journey.

The win is significant for Ajax as it ends an eight-match winless streak against Italian opponents and provides a positive result following their opening loss in the tournament to Hajduk Split. Arokodare has indicated he is open to making his move to the Dutch club permanent, noting that a final decision rests between Ajax and Wolves.
