Ajax signs former Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma

Ajax has officially signed 30-year-old Malian midfielder Yves Bissouma on a free transfer. The deal, brokered by technical director Jordi Cruijff, includes a contract running until June 30, 2027, with an option for an additional year.

Bissouma joins the Eredivisie club following his departure from Tottenham Hotspur this summer. The former Premier League player, who previously played for Brighton & Hove Albion and Lille, arrives as a free agent after his contract in North London expired.

Bissouma expressed high ambitions for his new role, stating, “I want to win everything with Ajax this year.” He is expected to provide much-needed experience and physical presence to the Ajax midfield, capable of playing in both defensive and central roles.
