Ajax defender Aaron Bouwman identified as Newcastle United target

Newcastle United has identified 19-year-old Ajax defender Aaron Bouwman as a long-term target to bolster their defensive options. The Netherlands youth international is viewed as a player with significant development potential who fits the club’s recruitment strategy of targeting young talent with high ceilings.

Despite Newcastle's interest, Ajax is reportedly unwilling to negotiate a transfer in the near future, making a January move unlikely. Any potential deal would likely have to wait until next summer or even the 2026/27 campaign.
