Ajax manages squad and wage bill through player transfers
Ajax is actively managing its squad and wage bill during the current transfer window. Striker Don-Angelo Konadu is set to join SK Lommel on loan, a move expected to save the club approximately 700,000 euros in salary.
Further financial adjustments include the departure of defender Ahmetcan Kaplan to NEC for a fixed fee of 2.5 million euros, potentially rising to 3 million euros with bonuses. This transfer will also remove 1.3 million euros from Ajax's wage obligations. The club's supervisory board has made reducing the wage bill a prerequisite for technical director Jordi Cruijff to pursue further squad reinforcements.
Amidst these changes, questions have been raised regarding Kasper Dolberg's future at the club. Following the arrivals of Marcos Leonardo and Tolu Arokodare, there are indications that the Danish striker may be permitted to leave Amsterdam.
