Ajax partners with Indonesian Football Association

Ajax has entered into a formal partnership with the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) to support player development across Indonesia. The program is designed around the Ajax training philosophy, involving the training of coaches and professionals throughout the country to implement the club's specific methodology.

In the context of the Indonesian national team, goalkeeper Maarten Paes has addressed the internal competition for the starting position ahead of the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup. Paes, who is also reportedly linked to a move to Ajax, noted that the competition with Emil Audero and Nadeo Argawinata serves as motivation rather than a threat. He emphasized that the priority remains the success of the national team over individual ambition.
