Ajax partners with Indonesian football association PSSI

Ajax has announced a formal partnership with the Persatuan Sepak Bola Seluruh Indonesia (PSSI), the national football association of Indonesia. The collaboration aims to implement a nationwide program based on the Ajax training philosophy to enhance football development across the country.

A central component of the initiative involves training coaches and professionals throughout Indonesia using Ajax’s specific expertise and knowledge. PSSI President Erick Thohir noted that while football is the most popular sport in Indonesia, the nation faces challenges in its youth development systems. He stated that the partnership will help improve the quality of trainers and football talent by adapting to the successful Dutch system.

Menno Geelen, General Director of Ajax, highlighted Indonesia as a significant market with great potential and a deep passion for football. He emphasized that the club aims to maintain its position as a leading global talent developer by sharing knowledge in relevant international markets.
