Ajax targets Noa Lang as replacement for Mika Godts amid PSG bid
Ajax Amsterdam have opened negotiations to sign 27‑year‑old winger Noa Lang from Napoli, viewing him as the ideal successor to Belgian forward Mika Godts. The club’s technical director Jordi Cruijff identified Lang as the primary target after reports that Godts is close to a move to Paris Saint‑Germain (PSG).
PSG’s initial €40 million offer for Godts, plus €5 million in bonuses, was rejected by Ajax, which is demanding more than €60 million. Ajax’s refusal has not halted talks, and the French club is preparing a new proposal.
While Ajax leads the interest in Lang, other clubs—including AS Roma, Fiorentina and Club Brugge—are also monitoring the Dutch side’s potential transfer. Napoli, the current holder of Lang’s contract until 2030, may consider selling him to fund other squad reinforcements, especially if the Godts deal proceeds and releases funds.
