Ajax targets young talents Jorthy Mokio and Gilberto Mora

Ajax is monitoring several young talents as potential future acquisitions. The club is reportedly interested in 17-year-old Mexican attacking midfielder Gilberto Mora, who plays for Tijuana. Mora has demonstrated significant growth, recording five goals and one assist in seven matches during the Apertura 2025-2026 season, and has already earned appearances with the Mexican senior national team. His release clause is set at 25 million euros.

Additionally, Ajax defender Jorthy Mokio is attracting attention from major European clubs like PSG and Bayern Munich following a standout performance against PSV Eindhoven. While analysts have praised his technical talent, they noted that he needs to improve his physical conditioning to compete at the highest levels, such as the Champions League.
