Ajax teen Mohamed Abdalla becomes youngest Dutch scorer in European competition

Sixteen‑year‑old midfielder Mohamed Abdalla made his official debut for Ajax in the Conference League second‑qualifying round against FK Vojvodina in Novi Sad. Entering in the 90th minute, he scored the final goal of a 4‑1 victory, becoming the youngest player to net for a Dutch club in a European match at 16 years and 277 days old.

The record surpasses that of teammate Jorthy Mokio and places Abdalla alongside Ajax legends such as Johan Cruyff, Marco van Basten and Matthijs de Ligt, who all scored on their debuts. Ajax’s win gave the Dutch side a strong position heading into the return leg in the Netherlands.
