Ajax to sign Viktor Tsygankov from Girona

Ajax is set to sign Ukrainian winger Viktor Tsygankov from Girona for a reported transfer fee of four million euros, plus one million euros in bonuses. The 28-year-old is expected to travel to Amsterdam on Monday to finalize the move.

The transfer follows a period of tension between Tsygankov and Girona. The player reportedly refused to play and used social media to push for a move, leading the Spanish club to initiate legal proceedings. Girona, seeking to reduce its wage bill, is eager to complete the sale despite Tsygankov having a market value estimated at fifteen million euros.

Tsygankov will reunite with manager Míchel, with whom he previously worked at Girona.
