AJet to launch direct flights from Istanbul to Kazakhstan
AJet, Turkey’s newest airline, is expanding its international flight network by launching direct services from Istanbul to two major cities in Kazakhstan: Almaty and Astana.
According to AJet General Manager Kerem Sarp, flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport to Almaty will begin on January 5, 2027, operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Sundays. Direct flights to Astana will commence on January 7, 2027, with twice-weekly service on Mondays and Thursdays.
The airline is also increasing flight frequencies from Ankara to both Almaty and Astana. Sarp stated that these new routes aim to strengthen connections with Turkic states and support commercial and touristic activities between the two nations.
