Ajicam calls for medical specialists in Jaén Hospital

The Jaén Breast Cancer Association (Ajicam) is calling for increased medical resources at the Hospital de Jaén to improve patient care. During a meeting with Juan Latorre, President of the Diputación de Jaén, association leaders highlighted the urgent need to fill a plastic surgeon position to allow for local breast reconstruction, which currently requires patients to travel to Granada or Córdoba.

Additionally, Ajicam is requesting more specialists in psycho-oncology to support patients immediately following a diagnosis. Association representatives Gemma Liébana and Remedios Morente also detailed the organization's community initiatives, such as the 'Marcha Rosa' and the 'Mickey' program, which provides ergonomic pillows to assist with post-operative recovery.
