Ajit Doval discusses Operation Sindoor and India's security resolve

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has provided his first public commentary on Operation Sindoor, an 88-hour military engagement conducted by India. Speaking in the upcoming Discovery Channel documentary series, ‘Declassified: Operation Sindoor’, Doval emphasized that India’s tolerance and generosity should not be misconstrued as weakness.

He stated that the operation, launched on May 7 following a fatal terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22 that killed 26 people, was a calculated strategic response. The primary objective was the destruction of terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) that were responsible for the Pahalgam attack. Doval asserted that India possesses the capability and resolve to take significant risks and deliver decisive strikes regardless of the consequences.

The military conflict between the two nuclear-armed nations concluded on May 10 after both sides reached an agreement to halt military actions.
