Ajit Doval to Receive Lokmanya Tilak National Award from Amit Shah in Pune

India’s senior national security adviser Ajit Doval, 81, will be honoured with the Lokmanya Tilak National Award 2026 for his long‑standing contributions to national security, counter‑terrorism and border diplomacy, including the 2017 Doklam negotiations.

The award will be presented by Home Minister Amit Shah on 1 August at the Maharashtra Mandal Ground in Gultekdi, Pune. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and MP Sunetra Pawar are also expected to attend. The award, instituted in 1983 in memory of freedom‑fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak, has previously been conferred on several senior Indian leaders.
