Ajmer Police detain Bangladeshi national and arrest 27-year fugitive
Ajmer Police have conducted two significant operations involving the detention of an illegal immigrant and the arrest of a long-term fugitive.
As part of a special campaign to identify and remove illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators, authorities detained 27-year-old Mohammad Rafikul Islam, also known as Suman. The individual reportedly entered India illegally via the Binapole border in West Bengal and traveled to Ajmer by train from Kolkata. This marks the 60th Bangladeshi national detained under this specific police initiative.
In a separate action, the Bandarsindri police arrested Kundan Singh, also known as Kushal Singh, who had been a fugitive for 27 years. Singh, a resident of the Almora/Bageshwar district in Uttarakhand, was wanted in connection with a case filed in November 1999 involving a tanker driver. Following a reward of 15,000 rupees being placed on his head, police used technical assistance to track and apprehend him in Haldwani, Uttarakhand.
