Ajmer: Three family members die by suicide

Three members of a single family died by suicide in the Garhi Malian area of Ajmer, Rajasthan, on Saturday night. The deceased have been identified as 59-year-old Ashok Sharma, his wife Indra Sharma (52), and their 20-year-old daughter, Diksha Sharma.

Preliminary investigations suggest the family consumed sulfas tablets mixed with water. Although they were rushed to Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Hospital by relatives, doctors declared them dead upon arrival.

Local police from the Adarsh Nagar station, including CI Omprakash Meena, have secured the scene and requested assistance from a forensic team. While the motive remains unclear, authorities are investigating various possibilities, including financial distress or domestic disputes. Police are currently questioning family members and neighbors while awaiting the post-mortem report to clarify the circumstances of the deaths.
