Ajou University Hospital to host Gyeonggi Southern Diabetes Academy

The Korea Metabolic Syndrome Forum and the Diabetes Association of Korea will host the ‘Gyeonggi Southern Region Diabetes Academy’ on September 16 at Ajou University Hospital. The program is designed to enhance the self-management capabilities of middle-aged and older adults living with diabetes or metabolic syndrome in the southern Gyeonggi region.

Participants will receive hands-on training with Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) technology, including the free provision of up to two Libre 2 devices. The curriculum features expert lectures on diabetes prevention, current treatment trends, and dietary management using CGM data. Additionally, the program will cover blood sugar management methods integrated with AI technology.

To ensure long-term effectiveness, the academy offers a one-month follow-up program via a dedicated mobile communication channel, providing 1:1 monitoring feedback and Q&A sessions with medical professionals.
