AK Markéta Praga wins Czech speedway Extraliga title
AK Markéta Praga has secured the Czech speedway Extraliga championship title, marking their 41st historical title and their first in four years. The title was decided by heat points after Praga and AMK Zlatá Přilba Pardubice finished the season with equal league points. Adam Bednář led the Praga team with 14 points during the final round.
The championship race was significantly impacted by a serious injury to Martin Vaculík, the leader of SC Žarnovica. During training sessions, a broken chain caused Vaculík to crash, resulting in an injury that required hospitalization and prevented him from competing in the final round. This setback hindered Žarnovica's attempt at a third consecutive title, leaving them in third place.
In the final round held in Žarnovica, AMK Zlatá Přilba Pardubice won the individual round, while AK Slaný finished at the bottom of the league table.
