Zihni Serhan Diyarbakırlı has resigned from his position as the AK Party Kilis Provincial Chairman following the circulation of a controversial audio recording on social media. The approximately six-minute recording allegedly features a conversation regarding a woman's request to return to her former workplace after being reassigned.

Diyarbakırlı issued a written statement asserting that the recording was montaged and taken out of context. While he has initiated legal proceedings to address the allegations, he stated that his resignation was a voluntary decision intended to protect the reputation of the political organization and prevent the party from becoming a subject of debate. He emphasized that his departure does not constitute an admission of guilt or a retreat from his legal fight.
