AkademiA delivers surprise rock concert in Bar, Montenegro

Montenegrin rock band AkademiA performed a one‑hour special program at the House of Culture in Bar as part of the bARS segment of the 39th "Barski ljetopis". The set featured rarely heard B‑side tracks and instrumental covers of classic Yugoslav groups such as Leb i sol, along with traditional songs and guest appearances, notably Miodrag Bulatović on harmonica.

Frontman Božidar “Čič” Gagović explained that the concert was designed to showcase a nostalgic repertoire drawn from old LPs and the band’s early influences. Some regular members were absent – vocalist Marija Brajović missed the show for personal reasons and keyboardist Mišo Škuletić was delayed by traffic – but the audience sang along and responded enthusiastically to the unconventional lineup.
