Akari Takaishi to release second photo book ‘melt’

Japanese actress Akari Takaishi is set to release her second photo book, titled ‘melt’, on December 18, 2026. The publication, released by Magazine House, features photography by Tosei Kamimura.

The shoot took place in New Zealand, a country Takaishi had long wished to visit. Captured shortly after she finished filming her role as the heroine in the NHK morning drama ‘Bakabake’, the 144-page book depicts her interacting with nature and local landscapes. The collection aims to showcase her natural, relaxed side, distinct from her professional acting roles.

Takaishi, who rose to prominence with her lead role in ‘Baby Walkure’ and has received multiple acting awards, will feature in the book alongside an included leaflet. The photo book is priced at 3,960 yen.
