Akasa Air appoints Abhishek Gupta as Chief Information Officer

Akasa Air has appointed Abhishek Gupta as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). Gupta joins the airline following his tenure at Dish TV, where he served as the Corporate Head of IT.

Gupta brings over two decades of experience in IT architecture, digital strategy, and technology operations. During his time at Dish TV, he led initiatives involving IT modernization, cloud adoption, digital transformation, and the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. His professional background also includes leadership roles at Ericsson and Orange Business Services.

An alumnus of the Delhi College of Engineering and the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A), Gupta announced his departure from Dish TV via social media, expressing gratitude for his professional journey and colleagues.
