Akasa Air marks four years of operation and unveils Elevate loyalty program

India's Akasa Air celebrated its four‑year anniversary on August 7, 2026, having launched its first flight on the same date in 2022. In four years the carrier expanded from a single Boeing 737 MAX 8 to a fleet of 40 aircraft, operating over 1,000 weekly flights to more than 30 domestic and international destinations. The airline recorded its strongest domestic performance in May‑June 2026, with market share rising to 6.4% and carrying 861,000 passengers in June, while achieving a 92.2% load factor.

To complement its growth, Akasa Air introduced a new loyalty scheme called “Akasa Elevate.” Founder and CEO Vinay Dube said the program will let members earn points on eligible flights and ancillary services, with retroactive credit for travel since April 1, 2026. The airline positioned the launch as part of its “experience‑led” strategy and a way to thank customers as it enters its fifth year of disciplined expansion.
