Akasa launches Euler MX2 fanless Mini-ITX chassis
Akasa has launched the Euler MX2, a 5.2-liter fanless Mini-ITX chassis designed for Intel-based systems. The enclosure utilizes an anodized aluminum construction that acts as a passive heatsink, transferring heat from the CPU to exterior fins to eliminate the need for cooling fans. This design enables silent operation and reduces maintenance by preventing dust accumulation and fan-bearing wear.
The chassis supports Intel processors with a thermal design power (TDP) of up to 35W, including Core Ultra desktop products and various generations from the eighth through fourteenth Core series. It is compatible with LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200, and LGA115x sockets. To support compact builds, the unit includes a built-in 220W DC-to-DC converter, though an external AC adapter is required.
Targeting industrial automation, digital signage, edge computing, and point-of-sale systems, the Euler MX2 features two 2.5-inch drive bays for storage and two front-mounted USB-A ports. It also includes two rear COM ports for legacy serial connectivity. The product is priced at £195 in the UK and €198 in Europe.
