Akbank’s General Manager Kaan Gür said the bank supplied a total of 2.913 trillion Turkish lira in credit to the Turkish economy during the first half of 2026, of which 2.233 trillion TL was provided as cash loans. The bank’s balance sheet showed total deposits of 2.511 trillion TL and assets of 4.012 trillion TL, with a consolidated capital adequacy ratio of 16.4 percent. After tax expenses of 12.623 billion TL, Akbank recorded a consolidated net profit of 34.333 billion TL for the period.

Gür noted that geopolitical developments created volatility in global markets and commodity prices, but proactive policy measures kept Turkish financial markets relatively calm. He stressed that Akbank and the broader Turkish banking sector remain committed to supporting real‑sector growth despite external uncertainties.
